Be ye also patient, establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near. (James 5:8)
What a living hope to have a saviour who came and died for his people and ascended to heaven, sitting at the right hand of the Father. He accomplishes a purpose that no human being would accomplish to die for a people who reject you but because of the love in him, Jesus is love personified. He adopted the love of his father; he possessed the same nature and character and Jesus wholesomely displayed it in the human race.
In our above opening scripture, we are told first that we should be patient. Patience is the fruit of the spirit. God wants us to be patient in waiting for the coming of the lord, many Christians are so impatient in seeing the coming of the Lord, including the pagans. They are mocking us as of now, Some say Jesus has been said to be coming and until now there is no trace of him but one thing you have to know is that God is eternal. A day to God is a thousand days.
Secondly, establish your hearts; we must focus on living holy for the lord. The heart of man is so central in the coming of the Lord; that is why the Bible says to keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
Therefore, be ready for the coming of the Lord, for sure. Your main focus should be holiness and evangelising the world to make Jesus the centre of everyone’s life today always.
Prophetic Confessions: My father, I am ready for the coming of the lord; my focus is to please always. My reward in heaven is prepared for me, and I am eagerly waiting for you, dear lord.
Salvation of prayer: Lord, thank you for sacrificing your life for my Sins, today I accept you as the lord of my life. I receive you as my master forevermore.
